Well the decision was made for me. Canada is on lockdown for all travellers. Airlines were operating limited flights prior to this. My itinerary is still valid and all flights still available though I'll finally be cancelling everything this week. Alas Hong Kong it wasn't meant to be. I miss Mong Kok. I miss Causeway Bay. I miss the vibrancy, colour and life of Hong Kong. Between the police brutality and authoritarian CCP government I don't think I'll be returning to Hong Kong for years to come. Even my favourite former WGs are telling me not to come to Hong Kong during these times and even worst I can't get them out of there to start a different life. It's incredibly sad thinking you have no idea if you'll ever return to your hometown.

I think HK is one of the safest places to be right now. They have handled the virus exceptionally well. |
