The poll choices don't offer best granularity.
In HK, bonks start at $170 (in Thai brothels on Temple street) and $200 for streetwalkers upwards. There's a huge variety of categories in the sub-$1000 range.
Actually, I think $1000+ should be a single category (it's all posh hookers, can go as high as you like), with under $400 up to $700, up to $1000 being the other buckets.
I prefer the low-end. It's typically a quickie and not great, but I had a few surprisingly decent sessions for $200 and if it doesn't go well, it's no big deal, still worth it.
Service quality of an average session in HK even at the $1000-$2000 point is usually unimpressive for me, after being spoiled with GFE and PSE working girls in Thailand in the past. Therefore, I go for the low end because I prefer being pleasantly surprised to being disappointed. At under $400 with low expectations, you'll rarely be disappointed.
