I was in Urumqi, and was wondering how the scene was like. I checked the articles in this forum, and went to the 2 locations to try my luck. Unfortunately, the 2 places mentioned in earlier articles are converted / transformed into other businesses, and punting isn't available.
In chit-chatting with the locals, the tightening of security in Xinjiang also meant the massage parlours with additional services are crushed as well.

I was just tired and went to get a massage and a nap before my meeting in the evening. The masseuse was in her 30s/40s. She claims to be from Gansu province. She has a good attitude, and talks at the right amount to make you feel comfortable, but not so much that it is overbearing.
I noticed she gave extra attention to my groin area, and LB came to attention. Eventually she asked me if I would like her to massage LB.
