	[USA][NYC][MANHATTAN] Chinatown LE Sting I just wanted to share with the community as it was an eye-opening experience. A few months ago I was caught in an LE sting. I originally found the girl through WeChat's Nearby feature. She seemed like an independent latina and so we texted, arranged details and decided to meet the following week. Went to a hotel in Chinatown, waited and then got an SMS with what she was wearing. Girl walks up, we chat briefly (no mention of donations) and walk towards the hotel when I'm rushed by several LE. End up getting taken to the precint, spend the night there and then charged with a misdemeanor for patronizing a prostitute. As a regular joe that's never been arrested, this is a very eye-opening experience with the thought of jailtime, being shamed in the news, losing my family, job, etc. In the end the case was dismissed, but for sure I won't be mongering again any time soon. They're cracking down on things, especially with FOSTA and it's just not worth it. With all the time, money, worry, that was spent, I could have easily flown to Hong Kong or Thailand where it's legal and had the time of my life.
