For me it nearly proportional to the investment level:
Temple St quicky - darker the better
Maid Parade overnighter - generally best to keep my eyes closed in the morning
SYP walkup - dim is preferred
SW walk up - medium lighting and fairy lights
HG walk in - good lighting, daylight if pssible
Macau - depends 0n the theme room :-)
Top end freelancer/escort - full daylight, open curtains, wank bank primed to record in 4K
