Your comparison isn't entirely correct. It's not about the face, it's about personal information.
I'm sure if a John posts private data about a WG, like her real name & address, allowing someone to contact her family/friends, it would be seen as just as bad. When she accepted to work as a WG, she accepted the fact guys will talk and probably show her face. (even if she doesn't want to).
Since the groups of guys here is much, much, much larger, showing a picture of a punter might allow his colleagues/friends to recognize him and 'abuse' the knowledge.
The problem here is, a single WG might have destroyed the life of a punter and the lad didn't even have the chance to tell his side of the story. So, whether he was an asshole or not, to avoid huge mistakes, let's just not do that.
Olive's points are absolutely right and guys doing that are a**h***s; but we should leave it at that and not out guys. I'm happy the admin removed the picture. |
