One reason I don’t write as many reports is that I am 99% SA in the states. While there is always money involved, these girls are part-timers at best.
I’m back in Asia next week and will put in some reports of my Thailand and HK adventures as they unfold.
As far as feedback and opinions from members, I personally appreciate anyone taking the time to put in their perspective. I have been a mod a year or two, actually, probably more than that by now and I like feedback.
I am a member first, mod second. I don’t see it as my place to tell anyone what they should or shouldn’t comment on in regards to the board. We all have our own levels of involvement we are comfortable with supporting. I am fine with everyone being as involved or uninvolved as they choose. Compelled involvement seldom delivers passionate outcomes.
Contests are a great idea. We have done them before with good results. I will take a look and see what I can come up with along those lines.
Finally, this may not be popular, but I will say it anyway. This forum is about a hobby. Unless you know something I don’t, there is no profit in it for any of us normal members. I joined for information, I reported to pay back the info I obtained, and I took a mod position because I appreciate the vast majority of members I have had the chance to meet and interact with on the forum and saw this as a way to pay back at a different level. There are days I don’t drop in here. Some times there are multiple days like that. But overall, this is the best forum for this type of hobby of which I am a part. Best members, least drama, even if I cause some myself, and most mutual respect amongst the membership. That’s why I stay and that’s why I want the best for the forum.
