Any time after 7 am has always been good for me. Last night’s drunks are still a big part of the real early crowd. As the day gets later you will start seeing the hard core Sunday DHs filing in to beg for drinks and grab some dicks.
My normal arrival is between 9 to 10. I’ve ways found good selection.
As far as other places, I’m not a fan of Players, too dark and never found my types in there. If you want to watch the action build go across the street to Queen Vic and let things happen.
