[Beijing] Still fun to be had
There is a lot of talk of doom and gloom in the PRC, due to the 19th party congress and other crackdowns. However, there is still fun to be had -- even in the capital city, where I'm visiting a couple days. You just need to know where to look!
As I'm staying at the Lido Hotel, across the street there is a great bar called the Irish Volunteer. (Recommended for a couple beers.) Try the SPA next door. It's open 24 hours. I signed up for a regular 60 min massage for around 200 RMB, and was led upstairs by a pretty girl (#20) wearing a qipao, on the very revealing side. She asked me to take a shower, and the room was set up with a regular bed -- definitely a good sign. She gave a great oil massage with some teasing, and asked if I wanted the full happy-ending massage. It was an additional 500 RMB+, but gave a 10% discount, for a total cost of 800 RMB or so. Yes, I know, expensive. Go ahead and bargain if you like. (Although I know you can get more services for less, I am only interested in massage.)
She gave a great oily HJ, allowing roaming of her body. I didn't ask her to take clothes off or provide other services. It was mainly a nice release. I get the feeling that if you develop a relationship with one of the girls here, you could end up getting more in the end. But, for a definite option -- although a bit costly -- this is a good one to keep in mind.
