Was driving by this place and decided to stop in. The sign at the counter said $100 for 90 minutes, required tip ($40-$80). I assumed that meant that HE was included. I need to stop assuming and just be completely direct.
The place was clean. It had a common room, a separate room with loungers, steam room (out of service), sauna, and showers. Was given a wristband with one of those scanners for your locker. I had a shower and used the sauna for a bit to relax and was given some water and an orange. Everything was clean and well maintained. After hanging out for a bit I was led to a massage room. I asked the locker room guy if they had any younger ladies (sub 50) and he said "They're all pretty old." Ah well the heck with it. Wasn't expecting much from this place.
The lady walked in and she was pushing 50. Definitely way past her prime and showing it in her face and body.
The massage was decent, she started with a pressure point towel massage and then moved onto oil. A heck of a lot of oil. Too much in my opinion. It was still alright though, she hit all the spots.
She started to tease me a bit while I lay face down and just when things were starting to get good she starts trying to negotiate a tip from me. "Give me $100, total $200". Needless to say I was quite surprised that she wanted a tip on top of a tip. I asked what she was going to do for me (not that I wanted anything else) for $100 and she said HE. Wow is this a standard price up here in Canada? People must be rich here. I explained that I was already tipping a minimum of $40 and that was extremely generous already. After going back and forth with her for awhile she was not budging and me neither. She said "Okay, you do 60 minutes and HE for $160 total." No thanks. I gave up, my mood was spoiled anyway. I declined the HE for that price. She pressed on again and again near the end of the massage and I just politely declined.
Afterwards I asked the counter "Do the mandatory tips go to the girl?" and the counter girl said yes. This woman wanted $100 for an HE. That is pure insanity IMO.
I will never return to that place. Onto the next! | |
