Watch out for scams while using Skout

Another good review for skout. I've hooked up with 4 different girls off there in 4 days. I've done super well with that app, even finding girls who are just interested in hookups which I won't post a ... <br />
Just want to give everyone a warning. I tried Skout yesterday, and most of the girls reaching out seemed to belong to a scam. It has been previously posted on this forum, it always is a story of a "too good to be true" girl.
They are (Taiwanese) students willing to do 2q for 800 HKD or overnight for 1500 HKD. Very pretty photos. The works. When you go to the agreed location, which is always an MTR exit or 7-11 or other public place but never a home address, they will ask you to buy Alipay at a 7-11. Of course, the girls are not real. This is an abbreviated version of the process.
I read about this scam maybe a year ago or so on this forum. It has been reported since intermittently. While using "People Nearby" on WeChat I have come across the same trick maybe 10 times. I thank the bro who has warned me on the forum, as I never fell for it. From experience, I can say these guys are pretty smooth. Girls photos seem real as they only post photos of one of the same girl and they seem to have many. I think they just use an unknowingly girl's Instagram account or something. They will ask you to buy Alipay. They say they are afraid of authorities and want to be sure you are not a cop (prostitution is legal in Hong Kong - scamming people not). They will ask you to send photo of the receipt, not showing the Alipay numbers, to verify you have actually purchased.
I never got to the point of the actual purchase, but can tell that they try to build trust and patiently walk you through the process of buying the Alipay. Of course, once you go down the road of the actual purchase, they know you are in their pocket.
Be aware when using Skout, and have fun. |
