Some more details about the "incident" from one of the WGs I just visited in Fuji. Obviously it's all word of mouth so should be taken with a grain of salt.
Supposedly there was a plain clothes policeman in Hop Yee on the 22nd, who went in as a regular punter, got serviced, and when it came time to pay he claimed he was an undercover cop and then tried to check the girl's visa (after being serviced). The WG thought he was bluffing and was trying to get a freebie. So she called the guys who run the place and they sent 4 enforcers round and hospitalised the guy.
The police reacted with a raid and nabbed two of the enforcers, but two others got away, so they camped out at Hop Yee and Fuji. the police left late last night and I just went for a punt at Fuji. Not many WGs back yet, but there were punters flooding the halls. As I walked out, the line for the lift was down down the stairs and to the street, with more bros still coming in. If I didn't know better I'd have thought it was a whores R' us closing down sale.
However only very few WGs actually open at Fuji right now (less than 10), but those who are working are raking it in. Will probably take a few days to return to normal as word spreads that the punters have returned and they arrange for More WGs.
Another funny story my girl told me was that the police normally leave the Russian / Ukranian chicks alone - because they're a nightmare to process (I.e. Don't speak Chinese) and need extra paperwork to go through the Russian embassy to deport. | |
