I go for massage very often in China, so thru the years, I have a few regulars at each massage place.
over the years, many of them quit their jobs due to various reasons; going home, getting married, change job, etc.
but the most interesting reason given by 3 different masseuses (from different parlours);
they intend to have a baby in 1-2yrs, so they need to quit.
at first, I thought that they need a break is because of the long and irregular hours of their job.
but on further probing, they said the miscarriage rate amongst masseuses is very high.
it could be due to the "gutter" essence oil they use, so most of them rather quit their jobs than to risk having miscarriage. | |
