Guys thanks for the great info and insight. I had seen the discussions in the bar thread, but your responses directly address some of my questions and concerns.
@traveler777 you are right that the bar scene can only lead me to get caught. The thrill is really not worth it. But as others are pointing out there might be an alternative to walk-ups and walk-ins.
@cruman999 TonyToro wander and Frenchexpat thanks for confirming that asking a girl to be discrete and not to walk next to me is a usual practice and she won't take it personally.
