I own a S4.
Hardware is powerful, but it's not the 'sell factor'.
Samsung is selling features. The S lineup. S translate, S exercise shit, S Voice, S group w/e.
The main features you should be concerned are Air Gesture, Smart look. They work, but only on stock apps (maybe support for devs later), so you cannot use the smart look feature on MKV player, which i use to watch anime with subtitles, and you also can't use the Smart look (scroll with eyes) on non-stock browser, can you't use Air Gesture on default Gallery which is a shame since I can't hide pics/folders with Gallery, but with QuickPic I can.
Battery is a tremendous improvement compared to S2. It's 2600 mah i think, S2 is 1800? But the difference is huge, the battery lasts for me the entire day with Air Gesture, Smart look, NFC and 70% brightness. It lasts at least 2x compared to the S2 with similar features enabled.
Camera is a massive improvement too. It takes pics even faster than S3 if you have ever tried one. We all know how slow S2 takes to focus when taking a pic.
Besides these stuff I outlined, the phone is otherwise pretty similar to the S3. | |
