Wander. You make it sound like Hong Kong locals are the ones discriminating against Asians. You been there enough to know: when was the last time you saw a Chinese bouncer in wanchai? They are almost always Filipino or Nepali. So, the idea that they are discriminating against their own is a bit off... I'm not even sure who owns the clubs,but the staff at most places seems to be invariably Filipino as well. So... It's not Chinese vs Chinese as you seem to see it.
The racial based cover charges still suck. They have never charged me, and I'm mostly white, but that may just be mostly luck. I do tend to dress well, maybe that makes a difference, but I doubt it. | |

That's true.. they are usually Nepalese. But they dont make the rules, just enforce them. |
