yes but social media didn't exactly exist back when googlemaps was released. for apple to replace googlemaps in a social media era with a garbage map app that almost killed travelers who used that map, which is also preinstalled on all iphone 5's ios 5 (which you have to live with) is suicidal to its brand name.
