If you get into HK by 10pm then you would miss the last boat from the airport to Macau at 10. So best if you get into the city and catch the turbojet boat at Sheung Wan. This journey will take roughly 2 plus hours so get into Macau by 2am or before.

On your return, you can catch the first boat to the HK airport at 7:30 to get to the airport by 8:30, enough time to get your flight. Remember best to buy your ticket as early as possible as tickets are limited. If you want to get back earlier then you can catchthe boat into HK then travel to the airport. This will depend on the boat schedule but again expect a 2 hour journey.
