For EVAair, you have to have @ least silver level and up, the basic Green wouldn't do it.

I flew into HK last week but in order to apply for the card I'd have to go through immigration and apply in the main lobby.  I was on a time crunch and would have missed my ferry to Macau so didn't go through with it.

But the government link I post above specifically says all you need is the frequent flyer member card and a passport showing eligible entry status (I assume anyone with a non-Chinese passport enters Macau visa-free) to qualify for the e-channel.

The link clearly states Macau ferry terminal as one of the landing spots with this E-channel for frequent flyers.

I think it's best to contact your specific airline and ask them if your FF status/level qualifies you for this service as the government link does not provide a list of airlines that qualifies for this service.
