iAround messaging app.
I just want to let bros know that the messaging app iAround for iOS and Android is really good on the mainland and in Macau. I've been using it for a few months and have had really good success finding civies (more on that at the end).
A couple of things makes this app good. First it is really location-centric. Searches are done based on location, with closest first. You can restrict the searches however you want (gender, age, etc) and also restrict it to currently online, or not. Also, this app tells you when your message has been read. So you know if you are being ignored or i the girl just hasn't gotten to your message yet. It also always tells you the last time the person logged on. Search results can be shown with varying detail, or even on a map.
Now this is a two way street. Every time you look at a profile, the person is informed. So you know who looks at you, and they know when you look at them. So there is no anonymous browsing of profiles. They will know where you are, when you were last on, and when you read their messages. You can control the location by turning off auto-updating, but there will always (I think) be the last location you listed. It is very accurate locating. It shows me within 100m.
On the negative side (assuming you don't mind the rest) is that you cannot cut and paste out of the app. This is a problem for me because my Mandarin sucks, and if the girl writes me in Chinese I cannot paste the text into Google translate. You can however paste into the app. Maybe the Android version doesn't have this problem. I don't know. The other issue I have is that it will not push messages to my phone. I have double checked all the settings to allow this, but it seems to be a bug. I won't know if anyone has contacted me (or looked at my profile), until I log in and check.
Personal experience:
I've been using this or about 3 months. I chat with about 8 girls at a time (I can't keep track of any more). I'll start with anyone in my desired age range that looks good and just say "Hello! Do you speak English?" This gets me about a 50% return rate of either yes, or no. I follow up in the appropriate language and ask to move to QQ. This generally let's me see more pictures and let's me cut and paste with Google translate.
Of those 50% about 1/3 turn into dinner or drink dates. I'll just say a lot of these women are quite liberated.
It does also happen that I get approached by curious women, and one of those turned into a really fun night.
So I recommend checking it out. It's fun if you have the time, and I have had good success with it. | |
