Three days is not enough in CP. Just to fly over from the USA is about 1 day. Then from the HK airport and customs is another 4-5 hours to CP. Yes, I would recommend Macau but don't go during a weekend. The hotels are more expensive.
Majority of the mommies speak Cantonese. You friend most likely understands Cantonese more than he speaks. Unfortunately, majority of the girls, don't speak Cantonese and only Mandarin. Only a very fews girls speak Cantonese and understand a little Cantonese. For English, it is even worst to find a girl that understand English at a conversational level. Most only know a few words.
For your Korean friend, does he know Korean ? There are sometimes ethic Korean girls working in CP. They speak both Mandarin and Korean. Hui Hua sauna, near Starbucks, in CP had two of them last year.
