Just had another thought!!!
And that is that in the past PRIOR to my using my above method, I had used other methods.
I had sometimes given -1A, and I remember getting quite roundly criticized for being too harsh to these newbies. So that is when I switched to granting +1A - and guess what - I again got roundly criticized for "encouraging" such errant behaviour instead of rebuking itIII I think that's why I switched to +1A coupled with the quite pointed first line.
Anyway, I guess I cain't win for loosing - something which I now think about my tenure here as whole actually!! Sigh...!

come to think of it DArt - how has YOUR own method worked?
Coz I really cannot recall/see where you actually have done what you've outlined.
