honeypots and haiku
hey all u IdleChatters,
i've always liked this section of the board as an anarchic catch-all for any member. sometimes it has been "SEAJ's blog," sometimes a chat-board, sometimes a source of great insight, sometimes humor (banter or otherwise).
but i've noticed that i seldom check the Monger's Lounge now that's it's been moved: as was pointed out above, often there are one-line queries ("can i get CIM in Mongkok?") and while sharing that info is fine, unless u have some info to relate or are interested in the subject, it's...well, here's the first four topics as of this minute:
• Newbie question - bringing WGs to your hotel room
• 37D - Where is it?
• Recent movie/documentary called " whores glory " anyone seen it?
• Wan Chai on a Sunday
errr: RTFF, 37 Dundas, watching dodgy docus = mongering?, RTFF. apologies for snarkiness, but there it is. all Net forums have RTFF-queries: try reading lonelyplanet.com's Thorn Tree sometime. as for WG docus, i'd like to see some filmmakers give the digicams to THE GIRLS and let THEM shoot the docu, let's see the distributor who'll release THAT.
i respect the mods for all they do, if they put this in Veg Cafe, it's their call. a lot of IC is veggie. but if i'm writing reports on WGs (which has been the case lately), that plus work cuts down on my chatter. appreciate the thoughts by d'Artagnan, and once SEAJ transcended his initial burst of WTFism, he's been thoughtful as well.
as for boinking hookers, south China is a good locale for it, and there's a lot of useful info on this forum. CL waxed wistful over the good old K-free days, and like all mods, he deserves massive respect, but frankly, i was on this board briefly in 2009 and didn't find it nearly as useful as it is now for practical WG info. considering it's a gnat compared to the Chinese section, and many bilingual bros write that the English section is more informative, that's an endorsement of the mods and their work. yes, we've had schisms and disruptions, but every other forum i've been on has either withered or imploded, often with surprising speed.
and yes, the page-views help. they keep bros interested in the forum, and if yr reading it, u might want to post on yr latest punt, comment on whatever, detail yr punting history or fetishes, or whatEVER! it's Idle Chatter!!
