The thing that really really REALLY annoys me is the English press, they just crucify any player about anything right before the big games, therefore the player is not in the right mentality for the games.
I was just as shocked as anyone when Hodgson got the job, but it was never going to go to Redknapp, just to much drama about it.
Downing... I agree.... WTF!?
But I am a fan of Lampard & Gerrard, except they hardly ever play well together for England. I say play one or the other.

Looking forward to Welbeck playing, he should of took another striker though, Rooney cannot play in the first 2 games. He should of took Sturridge.
