Hi AsnD,
Sorry I missed your post as I went back to the start of this thread and have been reading all these wonderful stories of you guys.

Regarding Yvonne she had a facinating story, she left Shanghai when she was about 22 yoa
when Mao ousted Chang. I think she went to Taiwan first and her future was looking good as she was picked up by one of the movie studios and was given roles in many movies.
A romance blossomed between Yvonne and a Taiwanese airline pilot not sure think it was the then China Airlines? She was living a fabulous life, engaged to be married plans being made for the wedding and then he suddenly got cold feet and dumped her.
She was absolutely devastated, her health suffered and her film career was over.

Sometime after she moved to Hong Kong she tried getting back into HK movies but failed,  she must have lost that spark she once had.To survive she took up Taxi Dancing for a while and eventually succumbed to the money attraction of Bar Girl.

After reading you post I wondered "what could Mr Zhang do with that for a movie script"
I know her story was authentic as she had hundreds of photographs of film scenes she was in and film posters of many of these movies.[And of course no photo shopping in this era].
I must look-up the movie you mentioned.
I am counting the days to take off.

Cheers
