I'm wishing for a miracle here, but what jobs are available in Hong Kong which don't require reading and writing in Cantonese/Mandarin?
I'll be finishing my MBA in a year and looking to move to Hong Kong or Singapore. It's been a long term plan of mine for years, though my studies have kept me so busy that I've stopped learning to read and write Cantonese to focus on school. I can speak it fairly well but not Mandarin at all. My family is from Hong Kong so I've always spoken Cantonese and getting my HKID card + RTL is just a matter of time. I've looked at a few international schools but I'm rather underqualified (no teaching degree) and overqualified (MBA not required for a sales/business development position) at the same time. What non-finance (not my background) jobs are there for ex-pats? I'll be making appointments with recruiters and agencies in Hong Kong late in 2012.
