I think there are pros and cons however you look at it. That being said... Here's what I think...
1. Don't pay for anything you can get for free.
2. Why pay for something you're already paying for?
Sex with the SO might be great. You have chemistry, you know what each other respond to... Yadda Yadda Yadda. She probably isn't going to dress up, let you tie her up, or change the shape of her breasts/face/LS for you on a regular basis tho. That to me is where getting some strange comes in.
Over time, multiple gfs stop being "strange". Then it just becomes a matter of how much variety you want / need. And what you're willing to give up for it. Do you want fresh experiences? Or someone to cook you breakfast? Are you just looking to unleash the swimmers? Or is a "connection" important to you?
I don't think it's about game. I think it just comes down to what you're looking for and what's right for your situation.
