Like it or not, WGs are still the female species after all..so sooner or later there will bound to be something more than just the hand me the money and you will get your honey scenario.
They too need to feel needed, loved and cared for. Since most of them probably are single with no family, they Johns are the way to look forward for some of these needs. Hell some of them may even be harboring the hope of one of the rich Johns they serve will eventually take them in as a mistress or even better... be their bride!
Especially if the Johns they serve somehow click with them (like in many times in Wander's case), becoming regulars and all that, I am sure there will be some emotional attachments involve in this supposedly platonic and money based relationship.
