Totally agree with you on this one. Low profile is always good.
We may choose to think that the authorities do not know anything about punting places like CP. In my opinion, they know all about it. Just keeping quiet about it... as the Chinese would say: keep one eye close and pretend you don't see it. These places actually brings in cash for the country and as long as there are no big news coming from these places, business will go on. But sometimes a show has to be put on to show the world that China is doing something about "unhealthy" business, especially when something big or serious happened or about to happen.
Point in case: The last round of big "clean-up" was done just before the Olympics in Beijing and the Asian Games in Guangzhou. Many of the usual punting places were raided in order to "clean up" the city (and some other adjacent cities as well). KTVs, saunas, night-clubs, you name it they raid it.
It will take some time to recover for sure. So we do not need someone to further create more problems that may eventually reduce the opportunity to have a good punt whenever, wherever...
So I am all for keeping it low profile for the benefit of all punting brothers out there.
Philosophical and Deep
After being away for a while, I noticed the thread has become really DEEP and philosophical... Don't think it's a bad thing though. I personally have come to like visiting here as the brotherhood feel that is emitting from this thread is just overwhelming to me and I like that. I thoroughly enjoy reading the stuff written by all the brothers here, there are things to learn, there are funny stuff to laugh about, help can be sought with a simple question, all our punting woes can be sorted out...and the list goes on.
The only thing now is it takes me much more time to read than before...noticed recently there are many posts that is loooonngg.... really long... but of course most are meant to be educational like the one written by our SEAJ Sifu aka Sean aka Sean Sweet Swede aka SEAJ on Chinese language (profanity and how to use them). Not complaining though, just wishing I have more time to read. I can't visit this site at home and I can't possibly spend too much time doing it at work either. Time is not on my side... But anyway, keep it up bros! We need to keep breaking records!
I may not be able to post punt reports as my punting life has pretty much halted to a very slow crawl due to my own doing some years ago, I still thoroughly enjoy the forum here and is looking forward to the day that I can regain my punting pleasures like before and I am hoping I could see more action this year.
@ SEAJ Sifu
Congrats on achieving another milestone for this thread!
