And the contrast between a beautiful girl and poverty is extreme - like finding a flower in a wasteland. If the girl is not 'cute' there is less of a contrast and you feel less compassion. Animal rights activists have exploited this human weakness for years and concentrated on 'cute' animals.
But she has chosen her method of making ends meet. I don't think that we should take away someone's livelihood because of some cuteness preconception. After all, she probably works quite hard at maximizing her cuteness.
