I found that a lot of the girls tend to use yahoo messenger. For some reason it is pretty popular with them. I have never had a yahoo messenger account before, so it was pretty easy for me to set up an anonymous yahoo account. The app on the cell phone can be deleted/reinstalled at will, with all the contact info stored in the cloud. It also has voice and video chat capabilities, so you have everything all tied up in one neat easy to scrub package.
This has worked out really well, as I have the messenger, but also an anon email address for registering on sites that I don't want co-mingled with the rest of my life. Such as this one.
The one thing that scares me with all these things is the integration with social media. I constantly have to remember NOT to click the connect to facebook icon inside yahoo. If I do, I think that my cookies will do me in! | |
