	Reply #40 xavierkk's post My point is your statement reinforces the perception that K is earned by making lots of posts.   Which, although POSSIBLE, is neither a reflection of where the top ranked posters actually got their K, nor is it a reflection of the ethos of the community.   Maybe someone should do a study, but I'm guessing the total K awarded by readers is greater than the total K awarded by the system.  For the top ranked posters the ratio is probably up to 100:1.    I prefer to see the K awarded by the system as a default minimum that sets the ball rolling ... and makes sure even those posts that are missed by the seniors also do get recognition.   My point is the most accurate and useful answer to the question "How do I get K?" is "You get K by making a contribution that the members appreciate".
