You can compare it to food. Home cooking is usually better than restaurant food, but you have to go to all the trouble of thinking about what to make, ensure that SO is OK with the menu, and then you have to cook it and clean up afterwards.
Restaurant food is often not as good, but it is delivered cooked to order with a smile. You have to do zero work. Just pay. And if you are willing to pay a premium, you can get an amazing dish from a top chef.
