Booking KTV by yourself

Hi,

Is there any difference if you were to book a KTV room by yourself or through an agent?   Lets say you hit up a KTV, go inside, ask for a Mommys KTV business card, then go back down and then call her to book a KTV room.  It would be the same deal correct?  The Mommy will get full commission and they will make sure you have a good time there.   Now, if you were to book through an agent,  (not a hosting)  and reserve a room for you and your friends, wouldn't the Mommy be cut out of the deal?
