simple arithmetic doesn't work here
always fun to speculate, but WGs' account-books are more calculus.
some need to support their families. i've met some who've done that, even buying/building houses for their parents. obviously they work in high-margin locales and repatriate the profits.
but others, esp Thais where there are plenty of Western guys, think they shd snare a sponsor and HE can pay for all that.sometimes this works but often, not. a smart WG will convince multiple guys to send them money monthly. and they do,up to and over US$1,000/month while they're not in town. i compare this to paying a restaurant to close down when yr out of town: NUTS! then these guys will hire a local private detective to "ensure" she's not still on the game, which she is like 100% certain.
it's not all sweet on the girl's end. Thai girls usually have husbands or boyfriends they support, in addition to their kid who's home with their family, typically. sometimes they develop BAD habits: gambling, substances, or simply too much alcohol. i've seen it happen: formerly lovely gals who can't string a sentence together, stumbling wrecks. needless to say, they're not "millionaires."
if you read my Betty adventures, you learned how an uneducated Isaan girl used a minimum of guile to create a sustainable biz, and got into middle-management. to me, WGs shd realize that once they hit 25 they're middle-aged and once they hit 30 they need to start setting themselves up for apprentice-MMS positions, if available. they seldom is ever do. how can u tell a 25-yr-old babe who's getting 150,000 baht monthly from 4-6 different guys and still hustling on the side that she needs to think of her future? she's making more money than her entire village back home! but she's burning through it...
this is mostly Thai as i have seen those patterns there. but when i met that Russian here in HK, i feel there was--shall we say--an organizational structure that was determining her workplace/schedule. it was not a nice feeling and i don't think i'll be patronizing any more Russians here.
few WGs have autonomy, and those who do often indulge in gambling or whatever. in Thailand it gets freaky: i knew a guy who kept this gal in an apt...along with another one in Manila and one in Phnom Penh. as he was married and traveled a lot, he didn't see his trophy-gals much. the one in BKK was 19, uneducated, and getting free rent and a lot of cash from some guy who showed up maybe once a month. so she got some Thai guy to keep her company, got into some other stuff, pretty soon she was pregnant, and all the money was gone. it's inevitable. seldom do they bank the profits, despite the uncertain nature of their revenue-streams.
IMHO it's a great mistake to believe these girls are going to behave like accountants. they have no financial-planning-training, the sums are often far different from their expectation, and they simply can't handle it. thus, any discussion of "WG millionaires" is based on expectations rather than reality. realistically, we can spend time with them, tip if appropriate, and make a small part of their day fun. but it takes considerable skill and will to survive in this biz. age is inexorable, and promotion-opportunities almost non-existent.
