It's worth mentioning that I was also reluctant about "sleeping" with a stranger for a long time. And it is still rare I do it unless I know the WG quite well. Occasionally if something really tickles my fancy I'll do it though and on those occasions I take precautions in advance. Prior to going out for the evening (just in case) I will put all my valuables in the room safe and zip up my suit case so it's quite noisy to open. I have a special place for hiding my laptop in most rooms. I slide the door chain across etc. I've never had a problem but I guess one cant be too careful.
My original post doesn't only apply to ST vs overnight. And over the years I have had a problem with this issue twice. This issue could also apply when you negotiate say 3 hours and the WG wants to leave early. Same strategy can apply, negotiate 2 prices so there is an understanding of the consequences of leaving early in advance. As has been said in several posts... if the girl wants to go... better she goes than hangs around.
