I've noticed there is a tendency in Asia to look upon money as sort of a "Community Chest"
type of system. Where friends and family that have share with those that have not. They truly
believe in the "Charity begins at home" concept. The fact that she has asked you, and more
importantly, has not specified an amount, means you are included in her circle of friends and she
is testing your generosity and/or feelings for her. As always, up to you what you chose to do.
But in this scenario I don't see a downside in sending whatever you can afford to "invest',shall we say.
There was some comments above as to what your boss would say if you asked him for money.
Well, what would your boss say if you were to have a problem and ask him for an advance?
More importantly, what would you do if he told you to F off? | |
