SEAJ, about the pacific breeze / wild orchid.

I booked the Pacific Breeze and they gave me a shit room.  They knew it was a shit room and took me there anyway.  It was the bottom room on the left of the 2nd building.  Apparently the main building rooms are nicer.

I ended up staying at the wild orchid.  The baseline rooms there are pretty bad.  So upgraded to 2nd tier room there instead and that was OK.

Anyone that says that Wild Orchid is comparable to ABC is fooling themselves.  The pool at wild orchid is bigger and better along with a wet bar.  It is closer to blow row.

Everything about INSIDE the hotel and the hotel room is better at ABC.

Will upload pictures once I get emails from other friends that went and get a good collage going.

edit:  I have been out of the PI for just about 12 hours and I already wanna go back.  This is not a good sign of things to come.

edit2:  more about hotels:

After visiting many nice hotels in China (Clipper, CP Swan Lake etc)  going to the hotels in AC was just awful.  For the price of a hotel I would put on par with CP Swan Lake, you pay three times the price!

However, because its vacation and not just trying to score cheap poon... it is well worth it to treat yourself to a room you enjoy.

From personal experience I will grade some of the hotels on Location Internals Externals and Overalls

~~Wild Orchid~~
Location:  10 Cannot be beat.  Middle of blow row, 2 minute walk from the middle of Fields.
Internals:  5 Baseline rooms are substandard.  Upper Tier rooms are mediocre compared to China 3 and 4star hotels.
Externals:  9 Best pool in AC by far though its not as private as others.  Decor is nice enough.
Overalls: 7 Not the best value for the money, not the best experience you could have.  Though if the pool is important to you, you cannot gowrong here.

~~Lewis Grand~~
Location: 3 On perimeter past the ABC.  Can walk back and forth if you enjoy a long boring walk.
Internals: 7 The rooms are nicely done, minimalistic, good equipment.
Externals:  7  Pool is ok, not much shade and layout could be better.  They are building a disco here as well
Overalls: 6 I was nickel and dimed for everything including more money spent on shuttles than my barfine for the evening (they failed to tell me their shuttle is NOT free and 6x more expensive than a taxi or trike!)

~~ABC~~
Location: 7 At the interchange between fields and perimeter, next door to pony tails.
Internals: 9 most of the rooms have flat screens, decor is.. gauche.  Amenities are superb.
Externals: 8 Their pool is secluded and private, nice shade and relaxing.  The restaurant setup is well done as well.  Their skybar is sorta annoying to get to when you are drunk (elevator to a hallway, up a staircase and lots of turns)
Overalls: 10 If you enjoy a stay at a hotel, you cannot beat ABC.  You do pay a price premium as its currently the most expensive hotel on the strip, but its always full on vacation weekends for a reason.

After staying at the top three hotels, I can safely say that my booking order is as follows:
1. ABC
2. Wild Orchid
3. Wait for another weekend to come to the PI or book earlier.  If travelling with friends, Lewis Grand in light of reschedule.

Pacific Breeze is VERY nice if you are a budget monger.  The rooms are expensive and the quality of the 2nd building is very lackluster.  If all you care about is a modicum of hotel and saving money to spend on barfines, It is a VERY good choice.  However, not for me!
