How did I just KNOW that TT would sooner or later drag our Idle chat thread in the discussion:

Ks are dished out flippantly in the IDLE CHAT THREAD, and for a few months all you had to do was breathe on that thread to get a K. That is an example of Ks being used in a way that was NOT within the morals, the values and the ethics of this forum. In this case, Ks were NOT used to award to solid valuable contribution, they were used to achieve one member's personal objective.
***again... I have no problem with this at all.
So... there is a precedent here... for Ks not being used according to the morals, the values and the ethics of this forum.
Why the sudden attack on the "band of 4"?
OK – this is probably an opportune time to review what all we had been doing here – for indeed Twice had suggested that we should do a “review” at approximately half a year – and we started this thread o 5-5-2011.
FACTS
- # Posts: 1446 – 3rd longest thread on 141 and makes up approximately 4 – 5% of ALL posts on 141 for the same period
- Viewed: 23,358 times – 15th top viewed thread
- # of NEGATIVE K’s awarded on thread: less than 20 or so
FAILURES
- NOT being able to attract more Seniors/Mods to participate here.
- Not being able to fully satisfy/comply to the wishes of a FEW detractors of this thread.
- Not fully conquering the Seniors/Mods’ skepticism about our motives here, and the value of this thread to the overall good of 141. (Jeez – you guys are a tough audience!)
SUCESSES
- Have provided a platform for ANYBODY BUT ESPECIALLY NEWER MEMBERS to feel at home, enjoy the camaraderie that exists on 141, test out “the waters” before venturing forth to other parts of the forum etc.
- Have nurtured and guided Newer members towards what is expected of their membership here – in a polite, friendly and non-threatening manner.
- Allow ALL members to still participate in our forum – AND extend a helping hand to others when required - even if they do NOT have anything special to report.
- Give a chance for everybody to post up their own Pictures – even if there is no specific reason to do so! Yes, we all could have posted them up in the AV (or is it Erotica now?) sections – but how many members actually go there, and what hope is there to get any appreciation for our own, errm unnh…”Works of Art?” there? And yeah, there ARE a lot of us who ARE just dying to show off our “trophies” but just didn't know how to do this acceptably prior to the Idle chat thread.
- Nurtured quite a few members to reaching higher status on the forum – and here I would like to address the specific charge from TT that we somehow ignore the morals, the values and the ethics of this forum by being very generous with our K Giving.
YES, we ARE generous with our K’s on this thread (and in other threads in my case), BUT, we make no secrets or have any other nefarious intent other than to encourage participation in our thread – and I think that it is totally out of line for TT to have stated that we have our own “personal objective.” Scoot, JacktheBat, ALL you guys who’ve credited others with K’s here – you got any “personal objectives” doing so?? Ridiculous!
And I’d very strongly suggest that the few measly K’s that members receive here has VERY LITTLE BEARING as to their eventual success in reaching higher status on 141 – such successes being their own achievement by writing up reports and participating in other parts of the forum. And I do also suggest strongly that their initial participation in the Idle Chat thread had precipitated/encouraged such post reporting/participation in other parts of 141.
On top of everything else, since TT had incessantly been bringing this matter up each an every chance he has, I have had to discuss this matter MULTIPLE times and I have yet to ever read that what we are doing “ignore the morals, the values and the ethics of this forum.“
TT, from your oft repeated references all over the place about our Idle chat AND you repeated participation on this forum, do I detect that you at least have a bit of “grudging admiration” for what we ALL have achieved here? LOL!!
THINKS/WISHES (me-think and me-wish that)
- It would be VERY NICE if more seniors AND Mods would participate here – for their absence indicates their possible (probable?) disapproval for whatever they think is wrong with this thread. But if you guys think there IS something wrong here – does it not BEHOVE you to fully engage us here and discuss with us how to correct whatever it is that you think is wrong? Heck, I’d be very discouraged if all of a sudden/after the fact I find that the whole bunch of us gets banned or have our status revoked for not realizing that we HAD been doing something wrong. Errrrr… we do have precedence on something like this having happened haven’t we?? LOL!
- We’ve NOT had our thread highlighted, not made into a sticky, not received ANY assistance (or even encouragement) from the Mods/Admin and most seniors – in other words, we've all here just been bumbling along – with the occasional complaint that I’m always bumping the thread up! Yes – I have done so on a VERY FEW occasions – and I of course do NOT want to do this. So Mods – how about a bit of consideration here in order for me to NOT have to ever bump this thread up again? Anything Mods!! ALL OF US here have worked hard to keep this thread alive, interesting and helpful to others - so, how about it??!!
OK – this is long enough – hopefully others will chip in their own thoughts about our thread.

Precisely 24 minutes after I posted this thread up we managed to snare Kaka, our Mod to at last participate in our tom foolery!! GREAT!! WELCOME KAKA!!!
And BTW Kaka, just a heads up - on this thread, when we give shit to anybody, we usually use ++++ and NOT ---- to accompany such rebuke - makes the shit taste better when covered with honey. ROFLMAO!! Or should I have written that Ka - Ka - Ka - Ka!!!
