There are enough bros that want that don't give that it is an issue. If you've posted on other sites, then by all means copy them over here, even if it is not HK as there is an "everywhere else& ... Meaning you have a review of Mini?? I just read nom_yai's report, and sounds like she's not keen on western clients. I utterly failed when trying to tee up an appointment today (more on that next), I only read nom_yai's report after getting back to hotel. Big thankyou for the report nom_yai!!
I've posted reviews of the two ladies I saw today in the newbie reports section, so I'm officially no longer a forum freeloading newbie .
Some of what follows should possibly go into a 'finding someone to book an appointment in Mandarin' thread, but I'll leave it here for now..
I rang Mini's number the other day, got some unintelligible words back after asking if she spoke any English, followed by a hang up. So today my mission was to find someone to ring her on my behalf, but I also had some other options lined up in case that fell through. I thought it might be easy to find someone, but it was surprisingly difficult. I'm a pretty shameless person, but I don't like to embarrass/offend or put others on the spot, so I didn't just want to ask any random person to book a 'massage' for me. Despite that I probably did offend the sensibilities of a few taxi drivers..
So some time after setting out I found myself on Temple st. I had heard about this street reading one of the reports, and it was pretty obvious that some of the girls hanging around were working girls. Even more obvious were the girls hanging around at the massage entrances . So pretty much any lady that caught my eye, I asked if they spoke English. Must have asked about six ladies this, all of them said no English. Damn, so I gave up on my idea of paying a WG to book an appointment. Some of these girls were seriously aesthetically challenged, I can't imagine what onlookers might have thought, but like I said I pretty much have no shame. In one instance there were a group of three girls at the entrance to a parlour, when I asked do you speak English, two half ran into the parlour, and one down the street - as though I'd just said 'you're all under arrest'. Was weird, anyone know what might startle them like this?? I walked on a bit, and they meekly returned, so I approached and asked again (they were ok this time though), only to be told no English.
So my journey continues, I see a sign down an alley with all different nationalities listed, with various prices starting at 220HKD next to them, plus the words 'free preview'. I see a dude sitting on a chair next to the sign, and figure I'll ask him. He speaks a bit of English, but seems like he doesn't want to make a booking on my behalf. Weird, maybe the offer of 50HKD is too cheap?? It would only take a few minutes, I thought it was more than reasonable. I see another guy sitting outside a sauna (he works there), but when I ask if he speaks English, he says no.
So my journey continues, I get utterly lost, and figure time to try some taxi's. I'm a bit hesitant to ask taxi's, but figure they often take people to walkup joints. It's a bit different to ask them to get involved in booking though, if it's not an activity they approve of. I see one taxi waiting at a cab rank, ask if he speaks English. Explain I'm trying to book a massage in Mandarin, offer him $50 if he can make the call and get the time/address. He says he can't help, doesn't speak Mandarin (presumably a Cantonese speaker can communicate adequately with a Mandarin speaker, right?). I assume it was his polite way of saying 'no, thanks'. I talk to another taxi, his response was unusual to say the least. First he asks do you want to contract someone long term for this job? I say no, just a once off, place the call right now, I pay the money, that's it. He says look in the newspaper for that kind of thing (meaning translator service presumably). I assume this was his way of saying 'fuck off, pervert'. He was polite, but his body language indicated he possibly disapproved of being asked such a request.
So my journey ends up at a walkup girls room (we'll just call her Jing, I have no idea what her name is). As it just happens while wandering around having no idea where I am, I see Sham Shui Po station. Excellent, my backup choices were located in Sham Shui Po. My final attempt to book Mini is via Jing, after our session. She hardly speaks any English, but I ask her if I could pay her to make a phone appointment in Mandarin on my behalf. She seems to understand (hard to be sure), so I dial the number and hand her my phone. Some talk is exchanged, then she hands the phone to me, I'm thinking great they have an English speaker on the other end. Wrong. I hear some words in Mandarin, and as I hand phone back to Jing they hang up. After a bit more discussion, Jing starts calling all these numbers from her phonebook, and hands me to a guy (agent?) who speaks English. I explain what I'm after, and he says sure I'll explain to Jing, and she can try again. After the agent hangs up, Jing looks at me as if to say 'ahh I understand what you want now'. She then calls Mini's contact number on her own phone. After a short exchange, I hear the girl on the other end of the line spout off a heap of Mandarin in what sounds like a loud/pissed off tone. Hhahaha all I'm thinking is she's saying 'ffs Mini is not here anymore, can people stop calling for her'. However after reading nom_yai's report, it could have similarly been Mini saying 'no I don't want to see westerners, tell him to fuck off'. All I get from Jing after the call is a 'sleep' gesture, as though Mini is currently sleeping. But then she starts pointing in the air and saying China (here), HK (here), making me think Mini has gone back to China again. Who the hell knows, but I tip Jing for trying to help and go on my way.
So I've pretty well given up on booking Mini, but if anyone does see/contact her, are you able to confirm if she does want to avoid westerners? I mean it certainly sounds like way from the report, but it's possible being asked to go bareback put her offside (which is fair enough IMO, she's being asked to put herself at significant risk to enhance the customers enjoyment, but that's for another thread I guess). Anyway don't want to discourage nom_yai from posting reviews with that last comment though, as I do appreciate the report.
Also, deserving of it's own thread I think, can someone post leads on how to arrange phone appointments where English speakers are hung up on. I guess any of the English speaking girls on the DB might be suitable, what do people think a reasonable price might be to get them to make a booking on your behalf? There should be agents advertising to do this as well IMO, it sounds like a pretty common problem (having done thread search on English speaking, many problems reported, but few solutions except to stick to English agents, and *cough* ask a taxi to do it for you). |
