You're right... especially struggling through the gate with your suit case... do you even look at what you are being charged? Probably not.
BTW, do you know, can you buy an Octopus at the Airport?
forgetting the same day price for a minute, why would an Octopus be more expensive period??? Isn't the AEL part pf the MTR?
I guess the Asia World Expo captures the trade fair market but even as recently as 2 years ago it was $90 each way to AWE. I remember the Kenfair people made a big deal about giving visitors to their fair free train tickets to cover the cost.
Interesting price table you added above, Maybe the Trade Fair organisers subsidise the cost?
