Anyway, I hope I'm not hijacking the thread with this post. If I am, please tell me and I'll start a new thread. I want to get you guys take on this situation.
I'll start with the background info. I recently started visiting this WG quite regularly, say once or twice a week. She's a China girl btw. Anyway, I get along pretty well with her and we can communicate decently although she speaks very little English and I speak just a bit more Mandarin.
I know that PRC girls get a bad rap for being gold miners etc, but this girl definitely is not one (or at least not yet). After my second session with her, I started tipping her and a few times, she gets upset with me and flat out refuses to take my money. What I do then is just take the money from her hand and put it in her handbag. Also, I'm the type that tips at the start of the session to the girls I'm regular with. This may be strange but I just prefer it that way since I've never been disappointed with the girls I do repeats with. Anyway, with this girl, a couple of times, after going home, I actually find that she's put the tip money back into my wallet or pocket. Whatever the case is, I still tip her since I think she deserves it.
We get along really well and I've bought her small gifts of cosmetics that she asked for, never spending more than about HKD 300ish per gift. And she's also never asked me to buy her handbags or wallets or anything expensive like that.
She mentioned that she only wants to work in this line for say another year before heading back to China for good. I want to help her transition to a good job in China. But I'm not rich by any means so putting her up in a nice apartment in China is out of the question. Also, I've got no connections in China where I could get her a decent paying job.
Do you guys have any ideas about what I can do for her? One thing I can think of is to buy her one of those Pimsleur English as a 2nd language for Mandarin speaker CD package where she can listen to it in her free time and learn English. The cost would be about USD 200 and that's a reasonable amount to spend I think. Any other ideas what I can do for her? I think anywhere below USD 2,000 would be reasonable.
Also, fwiw, I'm not seeking a relationship with her. I'm very clear that there's no future for the both of us as a couple. I just truly want the best for her. Appreciate any feedback. | |
