thx everyone...the Red Ant is pure Isaan, from a little known town called Maha Sarakham (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maha_Sarakham_Province). she has, i feel, a striking phenotype. but in the sample-pool of Bangkok-WGs-from-Isaan, she had other distinctive qualities, which is why i saw a lot of her.
dunno a thing about MS Province but according to Wiki: "The provincial tree is the Woman's-tongue Tree (Albizia lebbeck)." she seems to have sprung from its root.
pickyprick, the key to retaining yr digifotos forever is multiple backups, and refreshing the media. those cheap USB 2.0 hard drives hold 500GB, and are cheap and NEW. for yr unique work, 3-4 backups PLUS an offline backup (thru Mozy, Amazon, or other provider) will keep orig AND processed pix intact forever. refresh your hard-disk and optical-disk media every few years.
thus i was able to check the times on the originals and find the three-minute gap, which explained the missing earring. in fact, once i found the foto, i cropped/tweaked and posted it. no one, including myself, has seen that foto since '06.
ironically, she didn't like to pose, but i'd just bring the camera out and snap. now i get to unearth those splinters of memory and enjoy their glow once again. good way to stay WARM, this weather is just...errrrr...
