I'm from the States but have been in Shanghai for 5 years now.
For mongering, it really depends on what type services you are looking for,
Full Sauna treatments, though I haven't been, I heard Bodi Boutique Hotel is one of the best in the game right now. Large space, great service, and a shitload of girls to choose from. I haven't been to the FS sauna services for awhile now, but have plenty of friends that do visit.
Massage with happy ending, I would check out this report from myself from a couple months back. Great massage and cute girls.

Freelance, this depends on your budget. You can find some great looking girls working at Mint, Bar Rouge, Park97, Muse, Rich Baby, and 5 star hotel lobbies.
