Fuck, I just checked and its 140 usd for a 30 day china tourist visa now??  Thats crazy, a couple years ago it was just 50 bucks.  About 3 months back it was around 100 i think.. now 140?  Getting a bit greedy are we China?  I know its all political, but its a bit lame.  

Yes, it is expensive to get a U.S. visa for a Chinese, but its a FIRST world country with FIRST world amenities, professioinalism and freedoms.  If you were ever in an emergency situation and you needed some sort of paramedics or police to help you out, you sure as hell wouldn't wanna be in China if that situation ever goes down.  That type of confidence with China has not quite been instilled in me just yet.  

It's amusing how much China wishes it was America ( during its favorable times ), all the while pretending otherwise.
