Excessive acronyms and abbreviations ?

Connoisseurs of the finer things in life [and possibly any lady readers],

When I first log-in I usually begin reviewing the titles of the posts to see what looks like it will be interesting reading.  In less than 2 pages of titles in one of the categories I found this today:

JG  37D  K K  JJ  KT  TST  CWB  SKM  PHX  [and more].

I recognize the advantage of abbreviations for commonly used phrases, but it can get excessive.   

Yes I have read the FAQ for newbies, and I did download the list of terms and acronyms.

This is not a complaint, just an observation that more information can be conveyed by just spelling out the words occasionally.  At least it would provide some help to the newbies.
