It's very helpful for extra Bros to chip in on this discussion. Seems the consensus is that neither China nor HK is inherently racist against (Western) foreigners, however in the Mainland there are 2 issues at play, an underlying anti Japanese sentiment (to at least "some extent") and an eagerness to accept generalisations.

I think the generalising and stereotyping part is true of every country...

Looking back at Bro Geoduck's post on post #9 he seems pretty accurate to what most people feel. Bro Kennichi's comment back at post #5 seems to not be supported by the majority which is a good thing!
