Premium sites like WSJ and SCMP can be such a hassle for referencing past articles because a paid subscription is needed.  So whenever I read an interesting news article in the SCMP, I usually google the article to see if the same story is available on another site that does allows free access to its archives, then I post a link to that free site.

If I cannot find the same story on another site (very rarely unable to bec most stories go through global newswires), then I don't post the news story at all as it would be disrespectful to the author to do so.
