I rented a car at the bangkok airport and drove to Pattaya about an hour and 15min. easy drive car rental is cheap 110 us a day from Budget rent a car if you order a car service will cost about 2500 to 3000 Baht roughly 100 US each way I don't think you should spend the night in BK its 45 min drive the opposite way from the airport sorry thats all i can help with Pattaya is a great place for this good luck
