Bro, please don't be so cynical. There is still love in this world but you'll never find it in the senior management of big corporations. I've been screwed by senior management myself but just forgive and forget and move on. It's just business, not personal. In later years, When I became a MD myself I realized I had learnt a valuable lesson from those a-holes and that is to never screw your own staff over. Even when I had to fire a lot of people, I would do it myself and not get human resources to do this. I would sit with each individual staff and hear them out and try to smooth things out for them. Lot of them cried and it was depressing work. At least I got to go out and see a nice GF or WG afterwards and they smoothed things out for me. It was like a transference of depression and boy, I needed it every night during those firings and lots of whiskey afterwards.
